Long Overdue Update

Sorry that it has been so long since our last post.  No excuses on my part.  Since last year we have undertaken a large move back to Nova Scotia from Alaska.  We're all settled into our new roles with Alex in his new job, Nathan started Primary, Kalee is in daycare and I am back to work with a school friend at T-Zone Health Therapy, as well as a place called Medicine in Motion.

Nathan has started hockey and loves it.  He asks almost every second day if he has hockey today.  Kalee has also started gymnastics.  It's a parent and tot lesson, so I get to participate as well.  Both kids will be starting swimming lessons in a couple weeks.  They're looking forward to that.

Spring 2011

And so it begins...  Here is a look at some of Kalee's first continuous steps.  For a couple of weeks now she has been trying hard to take a step or two.  Now she can hold her own and walk pretty well unaided.

Since our last post, Nathan has started soccer this summer with Alex as his coach.  Unfortunately his games are Monday nights, which is one of the nights I work.  Yes, I went back to work at the end of March as a part time massage therapist.  It is in a local gym called the Alaska Club.  It certainly is different from working in a physiotherapist office, but the tips are great!

We were also fortunate enough to enjoy a visit from our wonderful friends Shawn and Daniele.  It may have been a short visit, but a great one.  We did things the Alaskan way by introducing Daniele to a day of shooting guns on the range.  It was my first time too.  We took a couple of drives, saw some wildlife and even went on a glacier cruise.  Thank you guys for a wonderful visit.
In just under a week, we get to enjoy more company from Alex's parents.  We haven't had the pleasure of seeing them since they visited in 2009.  It'll be another great visit and the first time they get to meet their grand-daughter.
